The midwife says...

...that the baby is indeed head down. And she thinks the baby is a boy, based upon the heart rate (a method which she claims is about 75% accurate). So, we'll see! And, no, I have no clue when this kid will come, though I doubt much too early based upon my previous pregnancies.

And I've been told to lay off the salt and sweets, due to my GD scare and the fact that I'm having major swelling. So, I guess that means the pan of brownies I made last night was a terrible idea (but oh so good)!

More poop and other stuff!

So, Reid has done his business on the potty now TWO full days and has been clean all day today, too. Actually, this is the 3rd day without any accidents whatsoever. However, he has woken up wet the last two mornings, which is strange because he has been dry at night for months! He has taken a sudden interest in drinking a ton of milk in the evening. I think we need to curtail that! I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am, though, that he is potty training. The thought of three in diapers was just down right depressing!!!

Jeremy has been gone the last couple of days and he took the laptop with him, hence the lack of updates on here. I still had our desktop computer, but that is upstairs with my crafting things and the office stuff. Every time I came up I got distracted by projects of all kinds. But, hey, my paperwork is done for the month and I knocked a load of stuff off my crafting list. I'm really quite organized for Christmas now. I know that with a newborn in tow I won't get much done this fall, so I need to get as much of it done now as possible!

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I'm 35 weeks 2 days right now. I'm not convinced the baby has turned head down yet, so I'm anxious to have them check. It totally fascinates me that the midwives can prod my stomach a few times and tell me which way the baby is lying. 37 weeks is considered full term. That is only 1 1/2 weeks away!!! I need to get cracking on the nursery. Right now it is a disaster -- I have most of the newborn stuff out, but not all of it is put away. And I definitely don't have all of Ross's stuff put away yet. Plus, the infant car seat is in the middle of the floor (did I mention we STILL don't have our van back)! I'm hoping to get the room in gear over the next week, as I'd like to know that the baby stuff is ready, even if the rest of the house isn't perfect! And I keep meaning to update with a belly picture, but I honestly haven't taken one in months. Jeremy is scared of my new camera -- he doesn't know how to use it and will not voluntarily pick it up!!! Oh, and have I mentioned that we still don't have names choosen? (And, no, I will not tell you what we're considering!) I suppose that should get moved up the priority list a bit...

Poop & sleep!

So, Reid has now pooped on the potty four (yes, FOUR) nights in a row. Now, we've had some accidents earlier in the day, but each evening after dinner he has done his business. The trick? He gets a kick out of flushing it down the potty. Jeremy has to sit in the bathroom with him, too, and Reid uses his little potty (which he has, generally, not liked using). I'm not sure what I'm going to do tonight, since Jeremy is out of town for work...I hate to break our lucky streak! Things seem to be getting a bit better in the potty training department, though I should mention that he pooped in the public pool last week (not 3 minutes after I got him dressed and told him that if he needed to poop he had to do it in the potty, not the pool). We'll get there eventually!

And yesterday was a sleep nightmare! It took 3+ hours to get the two of them to sleep. Each time I'd get Ross down, Reid would wake him up. And Ross TRASHED the room -- I ended up having to fold every stinking piece of clothing in the room. My nerves (and patience) were completely shot by this, so I headed off to the commissary by myself after dinner (and purposely took my time so that I got home after bedtime). Apparently Jeremy had just as much fun putting the kids to bed. I had to make him a margarita when I got home. Today Reid is napping in my bedroom while Ross is in his big bed. Once again, Reid woke Ross up TWICE before I removed him from the room. I'm not sure what to do about that, though my first instinct (that I'm not following) is to muzzle him before I lie him down.

Pool updates!

Here are a few long awaited pictures of the pool area. As you can see, we've got the flower beds finished outside the pool area (though, one of my plants already bit the dust, so I need to replace it). The fence is missing the post caps, too, and obviously a gate. Today Jeremy is working on putting stone down around the pool and putting the edge blocks across the edge of the fence to keep the stone out of the yard (which will eventually get sodded). We also got the posts put in for Jeremy's hammock, which he is impatiently waiting to use. I have decided to hold off on putting any plants in around the pool for now. I'm just too big to deal with it right now and it will be fine this way until later this fall or next spring. See, I can occasionally let go of my perfectionistic tendencies.
Did I mention that Ross REALLY wanted to help daddy? He is fascinated with the wheel barrow.
The three kids playing around this morning.
And I think Reid just looks too funny in these goggles. Hannah found them in her closet and gave them to him.

It is done!

It isn't perfect, but it is done! I did end up having to hand stitch the straps on. After a little testing I discovered I had 2 more layers than I could stitch up...live and learn, I guess! Always do a test swatch for stitches before starting a project!

A pregnancy confession...

I ate more than half a box of chocolate glazed donut holes this morning. Oh, and several handfuls of malted milk balls. And taco bell for lunch. The baby was really really having a craving for junk food.

Now, let's just see what I can accomplish today while I'm on my sugar buzz.

(By the way, I'm normally a pretty healthy eater, so I figure a bad day here and there won't kill me, right? Oh, the sad sad ways I justify things...)

The *&%$*@#$&* needle doesn't work!

That's all.

Happy Thursday!

Happy Thursday, well, because today isn't spectacular for any good reason other than just being another day. I'm trying to think of what we've done the last few days...seems I'm forgetting a lot!

Ah, yes, I forgot to mention that Ross is now sleeping in his big boy bed. We started this again last week when we got home from the ocean. He's doing fairly well at night. The key is for us to leave their door open and sit in the living room quietly until they fall asleep, occasionally yelling to the boys to "get back in bed" or "be quiet". The first night it took 1 1/2 hours to get them to sleep, but it's only been 20 minutes or so the last couple of nights. I started on Monday of this week with him napping in the big boy bed, too. One day it went really really well, but yesterday he put up a long hard fight. And right now he's in there, keeping Reid awake, and I've already yelled at him a good dozen times. He'll get it...eventually! The plus side to this is that I can get the nursery around now. So, the baby stuff is strewn about the nursery (luckily Ross can't open the door and Reid will listen to me when I tell him to stay out). I started packing the hospital bags last night. I didn't get very far, but it is a start!

Yesterday morning while Hannah was swimming, the boys and I went and picked more blueberries (about 6 1/2 lbs this time). I let Reid have his own bucket and let him go to town, which he loved. As a result of this, however, I have had to pick A LOT of green and red berries out (and a good deal of twigs, leaves and mushy berries). It was worth it, though, because he really enjoyed it! Ross rode in the backpack (yes, I must have been a sight, 8 months pregnant with a 27 lb toddler strapped to my back). He was happy when he could reach the bushes and rummage around in the leaves, but when he couldn't reach anything, he got quite mad. I lost a good deal of hair from the back of my head to his little fingers, too. I pulled out the berries I need for another batch of syrup and the kids have almost completely consumed the rest of them. They love them! Reid is already asking to go back, which we will probably do next week. I had wanted to make a pie, but they ate all the berries for a pie, so I want more anyway. Oh, and we saw a bunny while we were there. It was super friendly and Reid, in particular, got a total kick out of it. It was a surprisingly skinny bunny, however, considering it lived in the middle of a large blueberry patch.

Yesterday we stopped at JoAnn's on the way home from swimming to get a new needle for the sewing machine, so that we can finish Hannah's tote bag. I was discouraged when I got home and realized I bought the same stinking needle I already had in the machine. So, I gave up and tried to hand stitch the straps on. Ugghh...6 layers of fabric and 3 layers of interfacing are not something you want to sew through by hand, especially without a thimble. So, we stopped back the store this morning and got yet another needle (and a thimble, just in case). It better work this time, or the bag may end up in the trash yet. As a side note, this got me looking at new machines. I'm currently using Grandma Mowery's machine that she got for Christmas in 1949 (she made notations in the owner's manual). While I like that it is Grandma's machine, it is old -- most of the numbers and markings are worn off the machine. And I'd really like something a little more user friendly. The zipper and button attachments on my machine are an absolute pain. Jeremy will love it when he sees this...I have a crafting problem! Hey, admitting your problem is the first step, right?

And, yes, I really should take an updated picture of the pool. It rained the last two evenings, though, and I try to use every second the boys are napping to get stuff done (plus, I don't want to wake them up by making a lot of racket downstairs). Maybe this evening...

Ross had a check-up!

I took Ross for his 18 month check-up yesterday. He weighed in at 27 pounds and measured 32 inches tall. Everything looked good! He hated the shots he got, but that is to be expected. Reid had to get one, too (I forgot to take his shot record to his 3 year appointment, so I had his done at the same time). Reid keeps talking about the lady who made him cry. Reid actually did pretty well with the shot, though.

It is hot here...too hot for this pregnant lady! It is making me nauseous and grumpy!

What is wrong with people?

Why is it that being pregnant makes people think that they can say whatever they want about your body? Today after church an elderly woman walked up to me on the way out and asked me how many weeks I had left. I told her that I'm due at the end of August, so six weeks. Her response, "goodness, are you having twins?". Really, thanks. Thanks for telling me that I look too big. I really wanted to respond with a comment like "you don't look so hot yourself", but being in the church sanctuary tempered my tongue a bit. But really, is it ever okay to walk up to someone and comment on their size? Or to rub their belly? Nope, it isn't. And being pregnant doesn't change that! Really, if you don't have something nice to say, then SHUT UP!

Okay, rant over and on to more enjoyable subjects.

We spent yesterday and today plowing through more projects. I feel bad that Jeremy's vacation turned into work -- he'll probably be glad to go back tomorrow to his air conditioned office so that his feet, hands and back can recover a bit. The pool area is really starting to look good, though. I'll try to take a picture tomorrow to post!

Hannah & I ALMOST finished her tote bag today. All we need to do is sew the handles on. Unfortunately, my machine won't go through that many layers. I'm hoping that I can fix the problem with a more appropriate needle, but if not, I'll have to sew them on by hand, which I am not looking forward to. It isn't perfect, but it is pretty stinking cute. I want to make another one (for me) now that I've figured out some of the finer points.

I really need to turn my brain off. Really. I keep thinking up more stuff to do. And not direly important stuff, just more crafting and sewing stuff.

Oh, and we have an ant problem now. Little itty bitty ones that seem to appear from no where. I think we stirred everything up in the yard and they decided to move in the house (especially since we put a bug killer down on the entire yard while it was all torn up). Today I wiped down every surface in the kitchen that I could with vinegar. And, I tore apart my cupboards under the sink (and everywhere else I thought they might be coming in from), but haven't found a trail, yet. Ick, ick, ick...

It has been a busy week!

We've been busy since we got home from the beach. The fence around the pool is in, though the panels aren't screwed in place yet. We're waiting to put the stone in around the pool for putting the screws in, as we will probably need to pull the panels out to get the stone in. I think we're going to put a few more fence posts in tomorrow, though, as we decided to put fence most of the way around the pump in order to conceal it a bit. And we still need to dig holes and put the posts in for the hammock that will go in the one corner (Jeremy's fathers day gift this year). We got my side flower bed completely put back togother yesterday and the new flower bed is done as well. As a side project, all the flower beds around the house got new mulch, too. Now, that wasn't because we didn't have enough to do already or because they needed it. Nope, that was because we ordered WAY too much mulch. We had it delivered in bulk with our stone. For the record, 2 cubic yards is a heck of a lot of mulch. Oh, and the stone is in my driveway, so even the garage is starting to empty out, there is no way I'll be parking in it anytime soon. To say the least, Jeremy & I are pooped. My feet are KILLING me and Jeremy has forbidden me from using the shovel anymore (too many braxton hix contractions when I was working outside). So, Jeremy is getting the much worse end of this deal. Now I get to float in the pool and tell him what to do while he does all the heavy lifting.

My nesting instincts are kicking in like mad. I've started way too many projects around the house and can't help but dig baby stuff out every day. Though, the baby stuff may not be a bad thing -- if I spend 10 minutes a day getting stuff around, MAYBE I'll be ready by the end of August for this kiddo to arrive.

And here are a few pics of the kids. The first is Hannah at her swim meet and the rest are from the beach. Jeremy & I (with Hannah's help) tried to get a picture of all three kids together. Yeah, that didn't happen.

We're back!

We ended up coming up home a bit early. The weather forecast for today was pretty dismal, so we opted to pack up and come home yesterday (the prospect of being holed up in an un-toddler proof condo for an entire day was too much for us). The kids had a really good time. The weather on Sunday & Monday was fabulous. Yesterday was hit or miss, though. Ross has no fear of the ocean, but it took Reid a while to warm up to it. They both got the biggest kick out of digging "ponds" at the edge of the water. Ross must have sat in his "pond" for 4 hours on Sunday. We took the kids on a boat ride on the Intercoastal Waterway on Monday afternoon, which was nice, though perhaps a bit too long for their attention span (it was an hour).

Hannah did pretty well at her swim meet on Saturday. She got disqualified on her backstroke, because she made her turn incorrectly (came up on her stomach instead of her back). She came in 3rd place in her heat for the breaststroke. Most importantly, though, she seemed to have a really good time. I'm hoping this spurs her to take practice a little more seriously...we'll see if that works out!

A Reid funny...one day at the beach I laid down on my back to take a rest. Jeremy walked by and I asked him to help me up by jokingly making a comment about me being a "turtle stuck on its back". Reid laughed out loud and said, "turtle in your tummy, mommy". We corrected him, but he insisted for some time that I had a turtle in my tummy. He thought this was just hilarious and continued to laugh hysterically every time he said it. Silly boy!

Oh, and the make-up incident on Saturday lead to an emergency stop at the new Ulta I had been dying to visit anyway. It's a good thing Hannah & I didn't get there on Thursday, as they opened on Friday. I did get a nice bag of goodies in honor of their grand opening, including a tube of the best smelling lotion ever -- coconut lime. This has, however, lead to a domestic dispute. Jeremy hates coconut. He has threatened to make me sleep on the couch if I continue to use it. Pretty soon I'll be sleeping in the lazy boy anyway, as I can hardly get comfortable at night...

And so it is off to the commissary we go...the fridge is bare and the kids appetites never seem satisfied!

See you later!

We're getting ready to head out for the beach right now. First, we spend the day in Goldsboro for Hannah's first sanctioned swim meet (the ones she went to last year were "fun" meets). Then on to the beach. Reid is beside himself with excitement.

And Ross is GRUMPY this morning. I think he may be getting another tooth, as he keeps sucking on his fingers. Oh, and he dumped a really messy, fairly expensive, jar of make-up on the bathroom floor this morning. He is lucky he is cute!

"Talk" to ya'll later!

Crafting like a mad woman!

So, I finished the burp cloths for a baby gift today. Here they are:

This is one of my favorite baby gifts, as it is practical, but personalized and handmade (well, partly hand made -- I do buy the prefolds).

I think it is a nesting thing, but I've been crafting like crazy lately. I actually have several Christmas gifts started that I want to get completed (or mostly completed) before this bean arrives (since I know time will be limited afterwards). I also have a ton of things I want to do for this little one. Plus, I'm trying to get the scrapbooks for the other three updated before life gets crazy again. Oh, and then there is that sewing project that Hannah & I started. Shoot...I meant to take a picture of the fabric. I really like what Hannah picked out -- a blue print with green, white and brown geometric shapes and a chocolate brown liner. I prewashed the fabric last night and we'll be able to start on it when we get back next week. Here is to hoping we both enjoy the project!

Needless to say our bonus room (aka, my craft room) is a disaster!

Ross!

Ross is going through one of those phases. You know, one of those phases where you want to stick him out on the curb with a "free to a good home" sign on him. He's testing every limit he can. Last night I came home and Jeremy told me that Ross had started climbing onto the end table and then diving off onto the couch. Okay, fine, we can deal with that. This morning he started doing this and I patiently removed him from the end table each time. He managed, though, in this process to knock the lamp off the end table. This, in turn, took a chunk out of my wall (freshly painted in the last several months), destroy the lamp shade and bend the frame of the lamp. I think the lamp itself is salvageable, but I'll have to have Jeremy help with it, as the screw is bent up and I can't get the lampshade off at this point. The wall is simply a matter of taking the time to fix (because we have so much of that). The shade irritates the heck out of me, mostly because I'll have to replace two lampshades in order to have both lamps in the room match. Now, no one needs to tell me it is only a lamp and he is only little. I know those things. I still hate having my house destroyed!

On a more amusing note, Ross doesn't like orange juice. I usually try to wait on juice until the kids are two, but today, for whatever reason, I gave him some with lunch. He drank some of it, luckily didn't actually spit it out, but made angry spitting and hissing noises like a wet cat after each sip. Eventually he gave up and pushed it back at me. Reid thought this was hilarious, though confusing, as orange juice is his favorite thing.

Is it Friday yet?

I'm tired and ready for Friday to be here. Why, I don't really know, since my weekends aren't much different than my week days. Jeremy is off next week, though, and I'm looking forward to that. We're spending most of the week at the ocean (thanks to Uncle Thomas and Aunt Deb!) and that is always a lot of fun.

If Jeremy gets home at a reasonable time, Hannah & I are going to go out for a girls night out. We've decided to learn to sew together (that is, for Hannah to learn to sew and for me to get over my fear of anything that isn't rectangular). We're going to start by making a bag and tonight we'll go pick out the fabric and get the supplies. Of course, a healthy dose of junk food is on the menu for tonight as well. And, I really want to stop at the new Ulta in town (a make-up super-store, for those of you who don't know). My expanding belly is making me feel very blah and I think a new tube of lipstick might lift my spirits a bit -- at least it is worth a try! Of course, what I really want is to fit into pants with a waist again. Yesterday I caught myself longingly sifting through my draws of non-preggo clothes...yes, this to shall pass, I know. And, yes, someday I might miss being pregnant. But, today is not that day!!!

The pool installer is here right now, by the way, finishing everything up. Things are really starting to look good!!! I'll be glad when everything is done and we can relax by the pool with our margaritas (or milk, for me)!

I tried to snap some new pictures of the kids yesterday. One of them wasn't being cooperative. Can you guess which one?

The concrete is in!

The concrete went in today. It looks a lot more like a pool and a lot less like a mud hole now. Of course, this means we have to stay out of the pool for the next three days. Oh, and I have to water my concrete 2 or 3 times a day, too. I just finished that for the day. And guess what? Yep, it is getting ready to rain here...

We're planning on being out of town most of next week, but the fun will start when we get home. Hopefully by then the installer will have all his stuff wrapped up (concrete forms down, privacy fence back up and site cleaned-up). Then we can start with the landscaping. And Jeremy has to put the fence up around the pool. We should be two tired puppy dogs by the end of July.

Eight years!

Today is Jeremy & my 8th anniversary. And, no, we're not doing anything special. Well, I have requested a lively game of Scrabble for later this evening, but other than that we aren't celebrating. We decided after our 1st anniversary that we should never make special plans for it again. It was a disaster, ending with the discovery that our brand new car wouldn't start and we had no way to get to work on Monday morning.

It seems like it has been much longer than eight years (and I mean that in a good way). Time sure does fly when you're having fun!

And about the blueberry syrup...

The blueberry syrup turned out excellent. And not too syrupy. It was mostly made of blueberry puree, so it isn't anything like blueberry pie filling (though is still definitely sweet). So, those of you who don't want pie filling on your pancakes, come on over. (Sorry, John, I couldn't resist!)

I also discovered that I need to make another batch, as we can go through a significant amount of it with our Sunday morning pancakes!

My Weekend Project

So, in the last 10 days or so I have noticed a major change in this pregnancy. Namely, I am extremely uncomfortable all of a sudden. I'm starting to have a ton of swelling in my feet, particularly in the evening. Needless to say, I spent a lot of time with my feet up this weekend because my feet hurt so much. While I was lounging, I finished up a baby hat and a pair of mittens (thumbless, so they were pretty easy). These are for a gift (to go with the burp cloths...notice they match). Hannah thinks my recent fascination with green is amusing -- she thought it was hilarious that my knitting matched my bedroom walls.

I'm now working on a set for our baby. I'm making two: one in pink and one in blue. I already had a ton of blue yarn left from a project I started when Reid was itty-bitty, so the blue is getting done first. I need to get rid of it as it mocks me each time I open my knitting drawer, reminding me that I never did finish the sweater I started.

I really want to sit on my bed under the ceiling fan and knit for the rest of the afternoon. However, today is my heavy cleaning day. And we all know that my head might blow up if I didn't get my Monday chores done on Monday, so off to dust I go!

Blueberries, blueberries, blueberries!!!

Today we went blueberry picking. It was hot, hot, hot, but everyone seemed to have a good time. We got close to 16 pounds of berries, which was about 3 big ice cream buckets filled. Beautiful, aren't they? And the boys love them!

So, I spent the afternoon dealing with the blueberries. I made a pie, which the kids mostly won't touch (Jeremy & I are so going to need to workout on Monday). I experimented with a new recipe for the crust from Cooks Illustrated. It has vodka in it (yes, I said vodka). You can add more liquid when you use vodka, which causes the pie dough to be easier to work with. It turned out really well, though now that I've used the recipe once I have a few things I would do a bit differently. It was weird, though, because the kitchen smelled strongly of alcohol during the early stages of baking. I'd highly recommend trying the recipe if you struggle with traditional pie dough recipes.

I also made a batch of blueberry syrup. Reid loves blueberry pancakes, so the syrup is for use on those. This project was a disaster. The final product is fine, but I messed up the first batch royally. In fact, I dumped a large amount down the drain. I don't have the energy (or the humility) to detail the stupid thing I did. Let's just say, though, I have lots of notes on the recipe for next year.

And right now I'm working on flash freezing the rest of the blueberries for use during the rest of the year. We definitely will have blueberries all year from today's pickings!

On a side note, one of the things I love about blogging is that I'm taking pictures of things I wouldn't normally. I'm really getting to know my camera better!

Enjoying the long weekend!

We've had a busy couple of days around here! Jeremy had Thursday & Friday off for the 4th. Thursday we (ahem, actually, Jeremy did most of it) spent the day working on house projects. Jeremy got most of the edgers put back in place in the backyard flower bed. He also loaded the highchair up and put it away in the attic. Ross has taken to climbing into the highchair and using it to reach things he shouldn't, so storing it away was an absolute necessary at this point. Jeremy also picked up all the fencing materials for the pool fence, which we had special ordered a few weeks ago (and which required cleaning the garage so that the stuff would fit in it until we need it -- the garage is unusually dirty with all the pool stuff strewn about). Hmmm...what did I do on Thursday? Oh yeah, I knit most of a baby hat (I had 2 hours to myself while Hannah was swimming). I'm trying to finish it tonight, so maybe I'll have a picture tomorrow. Here are a few photos of the kids enjoying the pool on Thursday:

(And, no, we don't have concrete yet. Hopefully early this week...)

Yesterday morning we hung out around the house and, of course, swam (Jeremy & I even got to swim by ourselves while the kids napped). After the boys napped, we headed over to post for the 4th of July festivities. It was HOT, but fortunately there was a nice breeze all day. My hands and feet did swell up terribly, though. I was silly enough to buy the boys a cherry snow cone, in spite of the fact that they both had on white shirts. They made a lovely mess of it, but enjoyed it, so I suppose the possible stains are worth it. There was a demonstration by the Golden Knights that Hannah was particularly interested in. It did sprinkle on us a little and there was a bit of thunder and lightening at one point, so the fireworks were delayed pretty late. Ross was so tired he slept through them and Reid had a hard time paying attention. They were really good, though. I think Fort Bragg is probably one of the best places to celebrate the 4th. Hey, there aren't many places where the fireworks have artillery with them!

And I just liked this picture! The sky was beautiful last night while we were listening to the 82nd military band.

We're all tired and grumpy.

I'm afraid the combination of getting up early (we have to be out the door by 6:30) for Hannah's swimming and staying up late playing in the pool (and outside in general) is catching up with all of us. In my brilliance, I decided to take Reid to get his hair cut today. His hair had gotten particularly shaggy. The poor kid could hardly stay awake while the stylist was working on him -- he yawned and yawned the whole time. He did, however, take an interest in the mirror at one point. I caught him sticking his tongue out (at himself) and making other funny faces. Wish my camera had been with me...

So, here is the new do:

Before we went to the barber shop, we had to stop at JoAnn's. Some of our friends are expecting their first child in a few weeks and I'm just now getting around to preparing their baby gift. I'm working on a set of embellished prefolds for use as burp clothes. This is the fabric I picked out. Isn't it pretty? I had a hard time picking, as they had so much cute stuff today. I really wish I had paid more attention to Grandma Mowery's sewing lessons, as I would love to be able to sew more than just straight seems (zippers and buttons scare the heck out of me). Every year the kids get new PJ's for Christmas. Maybe I'll take a stab at matching pajama pants for all of them. And then again, I have no clue where I'd find the time to do it. This is one of my best talents -- thinking up more shit than I can possibly get done.

Okay...off I go. I have a million things to accomplish during naptime today. I'm saying a prayer right now that the kids will all sleep 4 hours (and, yes, Hannah is passed out right now, too).

Good news -- no GD!

I just got back from my follow-up with the doctor regarding my possible gestational diabetes. It looks like I'm just fine, so that is one thing I can cross off my "to worry about" list.
