We're all tired and grumpy.

I'm afraid the combination of getting up early (we have to be out the door by 6:30) for Hannah's swimming and staying up late playing in the pool (and outside in general) is catching up with all of us. In my brilliance, I decided to take Reid to get his hair cut today. His hair had gotten particularly shaggy. The poor kid could hardly stay awake while the stylist was working on him -- he yawned and yawned the whole time. He did, however, take an interest in the mirror at one point. I caught him sticking his tongue out (at himself) and making other funny faces. Wish my camera had been with me...

So, here is the new do:

Before we went to the barber shop, we had to stop at JoAnn's. Some of our friends are expecting their first child in a few weeks and I'm just now getting around to preparing their baby gift. I'm working on a set of embellished prefolds for use as burp clothes. This is the fabric I picked out. Isn't it pretty? I had a hard time picking, as they had so much cute stuff today. I really wish I had paid more attention to Grandma Mowery's sewing lessons, as I would love to be able to sew more than just straight seems (zippers and buttons scare the heck out of me). Every year the kids get new PJ's for Christmas. Maybe I'll take a stab at matching pajama pants for all of them. And then again, I have no clue where I'd find the time to do it. This is one of my best talents -- thinking up more shit than I can possibly get done.

Okay...off I go. I have a million things to accomplish during naptime today. I'm saying a prayer right now that the kids will all sleep 4 hours (and, yes, Hannah is passed out right now, too).
