Ross!

Ross is going through one of those phases. You know, one of those phases where you want to stick him out on the curb with a "free to a good home" sign on him. He's testing every limit he can. Last night I came home and Jeremy told me that Ross had started climbing onto the end table and then diving off onto the couch. Okay, fine, we can deal with that. This morning he started doing this and I patiently removed him from the end table each time. He managed, though, in this process to knock the lamp off the end table. This, in turn, took a chunk out of my wall (freshly painted in the last several months), destroy the lamp shade and bend the frame of the lamp. I think the lamp itself is salvageable, but I'll have to have Jeremy help with it, as the screw is bent up and I can't get the lampshade off at this point. The wall is simply a matter of taking the time to fix (because we have so much of that). The shade irritates the heck out of me, mostly because I'll have to replace two lampshades in order to have both lamps in the room match. Now, no one needs to tell me it is only a lamp and he is only little. I know those things. I still hate having my house destroyed!

On a more amusing note, Ross doesn't like orange juice. I usually try to wait on juice until the kids are two, but today, for whatever reason, I gave him some with lunch. He drank some of it, luckily didn't actually spit it out, but made angry spitting and hissing noises like a wet cat after each sip. Eventually he gave up and pushed it back at me. Reid thought this was hilarious, though confusing, as orange juice is his favorite thing.
